Install the SOLIDWORKS add-in

    Close SOLIDWORKS

    Save your work, then close SOLIDWORKS.

    Extract and install

    Extract the ZIP to a permanent folder. Double-click Setup.exe, allow the Windows permission prompt and choose Install or update.

    Enable the add-in

    Open SOLIDWORKS → Tools → Add-Ins, enable AZC for SOLIDWORKS and open the AZC task-pane tab.

  4. 04

    Enter a connection code

    Add a SOLIDWORKS connection in AZC Connection settings, generate a code and enter it in the add-in.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats are supported?

Import STEP/STP and export the active part or assembly as STEP. STEP excludes original sketches, feature history and texture maps. This release does not transfer GLB or native SLDPRT/SLDASM files.

Is the add-in free?

The add-in is free to download and install. Cloud storage and connection allowances follow the AZC workspace plan.

Can I use a Blender connection code?

Generate a SOLIDWORKS connection code. It is valid for 10 minutes and one use.

How do I update or uninstall?

Close SOLIDWORKS and run Setup.exe. Choose Install or update, or Uninstall. Local settings and access data are retained. Keep the installed folder.

Which versions are tested?

Tested on Windows x64 with SOLIDWORKS 2026 SP04.1. Compatibility with other versions is not yet verified.
